Feature and Follow #9

The Feature & Follow is hosted @  Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read

What Book or Book Series do you think would make a better TV show than it would a movie?

The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness

I will be happy to see this series adapted in either form, but I just think that it would be better fleshed out in the long form of a TV show. And of course, the death of a certain friend won't happen for many episodes, whereas in a film it would come too soon :-(

Suggest a question! We need more questions of the week for future FFs.

As I have only been paticipating in FF for a few months now, I am not so sure what questions have been used before, so forgive me if my suggestions have been done.

What is the first ever book you can remember reading?

Name the book that everyone and their pet poodle seems to love, but that you refuse to read.

Post a picture of your most favourite thing* ever.
*Not a living being.

Is there a book that you were required to read in school that you actually loved?

What is your favorite tv series that you can watch over and over again on Netflix?

I can't believe that I missed this off my Top Ten Tuesday favourite TV show list because I adore this show so much, like gah! so, so much and I really miss it. I really miss the characters and the freaky going ons and trying to spot the observers in the background and Walter never getting Astrid's name right and.... But yeah, I can watch this show over and over again and never get bored.

POST A FUNNY YOUTUBE VIDEO

There are so many funny videos to choose from, so I am going to go with one that I have not long discovered. It is a Jimmy Kimmel skit that, so far, has not failed to crack me up.

I am looking forward to everyone else's funny videos.

The Feature & Follow is hosted @  Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read

This week I have the honour of being one of the featured bloggers and to see my answers to the interview questions, then just pop on over to Alisons blog.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE PICTURE BOOKS.

I don't remember any of the picture books from my childhood, but there are a few faves that I used to read to the children I looked after.

Show us a picture of your favourite coffee mug.

I don't actually have a favourite coffee mug but the one I have been using lately is one I got free from uni during freshers week.

And I have this cute Union Jack mug for my tea.

Yep, I like my coffee milky and my tea black.

Feature and Follow: Favourite Books of 2014 So Far

The Feature & Follow is hosted @  Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE BOOKS OF 2014?

I just answered this question last week for Top Ten Tuesday, but thats OK, because I have a new favourite that I have read since then.

The books that I had on my top ten list are:
10. Hawkeye: My Life as a Weapon
9. VA: The Last Sacrifice
8. Saga Volume One
7. Assassin's Blade
6. Walking Dead Compendium One
5. Fire and flood
4. Cress
3. Fangirl
2. Dreams of Gods and Monsters
1. Red Rising

The new book being added to the list is:

Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Where would it go on my top ten list? Probably in at number one.

Feature and Follow Friday: Armchair Travel

Feature & Follow is hosted @ Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read.

Armchair Travel.
Tell us about a favourite setting in a book you'd like to visit (a real place for this question).

There are many, but a place that comes to mind right now is the South of France where A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle is set.

While I may not have loved the book, I did love the sense of French country living the book gives. I would love to spend a year in France, totally immersed in the culture and language, even though I probably end up 2 sizes bigger from all the cheese and bread I would consume.

And come on, look at this place - beautiful.

Where would you love to spend a sabbatical or even just to move to good?

Feature and Follow Friday: My Other Hobbies

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. The goal is to increase blog followers and make friends.

Share! Tell us about one of your hobbies that is NOT reading.

Well, I don't think watching TV and movies or surfing the web are considered hobbies, so I can't answer with those, even though I am very good at them.

Almost nothing beats a ride through the woods on a sunny day.

My other passion other than books is horses and horseriding and although it has never technically been a hobby but a career, it still counts. Now that I no longer work with horses but am a student hoping to go either into the book trade or teaching, horses are now simply a hobby. I am hoping that once I have a steady income I will be able to buy my own horse, then I will be truly happy.

Safety First ;-)
I also love archery, I am not very good at it (yet) but it is really fun.
Another thing I am not very good at but love doing is photography. I like to take pictures of everything.

What hobbies do you have besides reading?
Any other horse lovers out there?
