My Favourite Books So Far This Year

Weekly event hosted @ The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Books I have Read This Year

This wasn't as hard as I thought it would be because I only have about ten 5 star books on my "Read in 2014" Goodreads list. The tough bit was putting them in order and is totally based on my current mood, if I was to compile this list next week, it might be in a different order.

TEN

This is such a fun little comic that makes me want to give Clint a big hug - poor guy.

NINE

This whole series was great and way better than I expected it to be. This was a fitting ending to the series.

EIGHT

These comics definitely deserve the hype they have been getting, so so good.

SEVEN

I still haven't read the actual novels yet but this collection of novellas is so good, I know the novels are going to be awesome.

SIX

This amazing book was my very first review on what was then, my shiny new blog. If you love the show and need a hiatus fix, you should definitely give the comic books a read.

FIVE

This fun action adventure made me laugh, cry and angry and it definitely left me desperately wanting the next one.

FOUR

Another excellent installment to The Lunar Chronicles, this series just gets better and better with each book.

THREE

Such a lovely book with characters I could connect with.

TWO

Such a fabulous ending for an absolutely fantastic and beautifully written trilogy. I am sad that it has ended and that I won't get to spend more time with the wonderful and quirky characters.

ONE

I loved everything about this book, from the characters to the world building. It is definitely one that I would read again and I cannot wait for the next book - write faster Pierce ;-)

What are your favourite books so far this year?
Any of these books make your list?

  2. My best friend has been reading the Walking dead comics, and we've been comparing the different characters and relationships between the comics and the TV show (like how Daryl doesn't even exist in the comics). And also I really need to read Fire and Flood, and also the entire Throne of Glass series.

    1. Yes, the comics are great, even without Daryl but I am glad they have him in the show.

I need to get to the rest of the Throne of Glass series too.

      Have a great week Val.

  4. Vampire Academy is my all time favorite series, and I'm really glad you loved it! I also enjoyed reading Fangirl even though I haven't read Harry Potter, and didn't understand Cath's fan fiction!
