Sunday Post: Weekly Wrap-Up (27/04/14)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

THIS WEEK ON MY BLOG:

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
This Here Sunday Post

Yep a very slow week :-(  After writing my essay I didn't really feel like writing anything else and I didn't feel so hot towards the end of the week.

WHAT I READ HIS WEEK:

Yeah, I didn't read much either.

Stacking The Shevles Hosted @ Tynga's Reviews

As last week, I didn't buy any physical books but ...

I won this cool ARC of Anna Dressed in Blood from a giveaway held by the lovely Vickie @ Under the Mountain.

I bought some great books for my Kindle:

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas £1.99
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas £1.99
The Winners Curse by Marie Rutkoski £1.99
Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen £2.71

Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma £3.59
Veiled Innocence by Ella Frank £2.48
Love, In English by Karina Halle £2.48
Lifers by Jane Harvey-Berrick £2.51

The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa £0.00
The Eternity Cure By Julie Kagawa £1.89
The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa £2.84
Halo by Frankie Rose £0.00

I love my Kindle, 12 books for less than £25, that's what I call a bargain.

And I checked some lovely books out of the library ...

The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas
The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke
The Pirates Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke
The Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong

Pirates and assassins, good stuff :-)

THIS WEEK IN REAL LIFE:

Well, I finally finished my essay and it was a lot harder than expected and it took me three whole days to write. UGH and it was so stressful I went a little crazy.
On Thursday I finally got to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier and it was Tres Awesome, I loved it and I want it on DVD now so I can watch it over and over again. After watching that, a lot that has been happening in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D makes a lot more sense.
I found out this week that the Vampire Academy movie is not going to be released in UK cinemas but is getting a straight to DVD release, this news made me very unhappy indeed.
After I got home on Thursday, I got laid low by a massive headache, the kind that hurts more when you move. I thought that I was coming down with something because I felt real crappy as well, but it has remained just a generally crappy feeling. I am not sure what it is, but I suspect the HUGE amounts of dairy (mostly cheese) I ate on Thursday might be a contributing factor, compounded with three whole days of stressful essay writing.

NEXT WEEK ON MY BLOG:

Hopefully I will be back to my normal self and be up to writing and using my brain again ;-)

Its Monday! What I'm Reading

NEXT WEEK IN REAL LIFE:

I am hoping to do a mutual exchange sometime soon and I am off to look at a house on Tuesday. Hopefully I will like it and they will like my house and fingers crossed, this time next month(ish) I shall be moved.
I may go and see Captain America again, or see The Amazing Spiderman 2. I am going with my sister who hasn't seen either so I will let her decide, I am happy either way.
Other than that, I have nothing else planned, besides reading and revision.

I hope everyone else had a better week than me and that next week will be much better.
I also hope that it will stop raining here and that the sun will come out to stay. I am so ready for outside reading.

    1. YES!!!! Captain America was so, so good, I can't wait to see it again.

It was the cover to The Assassin's Curse that attracted me to it. That and the fact that there are Assassins and pirates.

      Have a brilliant week.
