My Bout of Books 12 Participation Post
Chatty Saturdays Intro Post
I am participating in six challenges this year, four of which should help with my goal of acquiring less books and reading more of the ones I already have. One should help with my goal of posting more discussion type posts, I think I may have that sorted out for a while, with my chatty Saturday posts , but we shall see. And the other challenge is to make me read more widely.

Chatty Saturday: Libraries
Yeah, it's gonna be a quiet one. I have so many (so many) reviews I need to write, but I just can't seem to find the motivation to do so at the moment. And besides, I have those three papers to write.
RECENT READ
For some reason, this tiny thing is all I have read this week |
I haven't really been making time for reading this week, so I am reading these very, very slowly.
READING NEXT
If I get those two books read next week, I will move on to...
ADDITIONS TO MY TBR
I only acquired two books this week, I bought one for school and the other I borrowed from the library. Can you guess which one's which?

I hope you all have a fabulous week and read some very excellent books.
I never even heard of TIMON OF ATHENS. That doesn't look like light reading!
ReplyDeletemy post is here: http://fangswandsandfairydust.com/2015/01/sunpo-1-4-15.html
Shakepeare is never light reading, but I love him anyway :-)
DeleteNo challenges or bookish resolutions this year for me! I know that I fail at both far too often. Work starts again tomorrow for me. I'll miss all the extra reading time. Come see what I got here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI almost always fail too, but I can't stop myself ;-)
DeleteI know what you mean about the reading time, I am back to uni next week, so goodbye freetime :-(
Well, 4 days in and I haven't purchased a book yet. :) I've finished 1 novel and 4 short stories. Not bad. However, I do go back to work tomorrow so I'm sure that will all change shortly!

Well done, Terri, I am sure you can keep up the good work :-)
DeleteI forgot all about The Girl with All the Gifts, I need to read that! Great haul!
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
I still need to read it too, but I keep reading anything but what is on my currenet TBR :-/
DeleteGood luck with not buying books! :P I've only bought one so far... What's today? The 4th? So far, so good then. I haven't read any of the books you're working on, but I hope you enjoy them!!
ReplyDeleteTracy @ Cornerfolds
So far, I have bought one book, but it was only £1.62 and the second in a series, so it fits within my allowed purchase.
DeleteThanks Tracy! :-)
I'm already in danger of breaking my promise to not buy so many books after visiting everyone's posts today. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure of which challenges I'll be doing this year and need to get a post together and get started. Time flies.
Here's my Sunday Post - http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/01/04/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-91-and-the-sunday-post/
I know right? I keep seeing all these great books and I think I must have them, but I have been good so far ;-) We CAN do it!
DeleteHappy New Year! I like the sound of your upcoming discussion posts, those are always fun. Good luck with the resolutions. I didn't make ANY this year, so I won't feel bad when i don't stick to them. :) Ambitious, i know...
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and enjoy the reads.
Thanks Greg :-) I think not having resolutions is a good Idea, so there will be no feelings of failure later in the year (month?), but I can't help my self, I love setting goals, even though I hardly meet them. Ever the optimist :-D
DeleteI'm with you on the not acquiring as many books. I think I'll do okay on the not buying books but the review books will be tougher. So far my I'm sticking with my resolutions but I'm taking it one day at a time! Prisoner of Night and Fog looks good and I love that cover! Enjoy your books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI have already failed the no requesting ARCs goal, because I have requested loads in the last couple of days. So, if I get denied the requests it will be a blessing ;-)
DeleteGood luck on continuing to stick to your resolution Katherine.
