Weekly Wrap-Up (4/1/15)

The Sunday Post hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It's Monday! hosted @ Book Journey

How is everyone's new year going so far? Still keeping up with your resolutions and goals? So far, I think 2015 is quite alright and of course, it's best to wait a few weeks rather than days to know how well the resolutions are sticking. My little nephew is now 3 weeks old, boy how the time flies, he is such a doll and I can't leave him alone. I have nine days left of my winter break and I have 3 papers to write in that time, so yeah, the last few days of my holiday are going to be a lot of fun.

Some of my 2015 Goals and Resolutions
My Bout of Books 12 Participation Post
Chatty Saturdays Intro Post

I am participating in six challenges this year, four of which should help with my goal of acquiring less books and reading more of the ones I already have. One should help with my goal of posting more discussion type posts, I think I may have that sorted out for a while, with my chatty Saturday posts , but we shall see. And the other challenge is to make me read more widely.

Chatty Saturday: Libraries

Yeah, it's gonna be a quiet one. I have so many (so many) reviews I need to write, but I just can't seem to find the motivation to do so at the moment. And besides, I have those three papers to write.

RECENT READ

For some reason, this tiny thing is all I have read this week
CURRENT READS

I haven't really been making time for reading this week, so I am reading these very, very slowly.

READING NEXT

If I get those two books read next week, I will move on to...

ADDITIONS TO MY TBR

I only acquired two books this week, I bought one for school and the other I borrowed from the library. Can you guess which one's which?

  2. No challenges or bookish resolutions this year for me! I know that I fail at both far too often. Work starts again tomorrow for me. I'll miss all the extra reading time. Come see what I got here. Happy reading!

  3. Well, 4 days in and I haven't purchased a book yet. :) I've finished 1 novel and 4 short stories. Not bad. However, I do go back to work tomorrow so I'm sure that will all change shortly!

    1. So far, I have bought one book, but it was only £1.62 and the second in a series, so it fits within my allowed purchase.
      Thanks Tracy! :-)

  6. I'm already in danger of breaking my promise to not buy so many books after visiting everyone's posts today. LOL
I'm pretty sure of which challenges I'll be doing this year and need to get a post together and get started. Time flies.

  7. Happy New Year! I like the sound of your upcoming discussion posts, those are always fun. Good luck with the resolutions. I didn't make ANY this year, so I won't feel bad when i don't stick to them. :) Ambitious, i know...

    1. Thanks Greg :-) I think not having resolutions is a good Idea, so there will be no feelings of failure later in the year (month?), but I can't help my self, I love setting goals, even though I hardly meet them. Ever the optimist :-D

  8. I'm with you on the not acquiring as many books. I think I'll do okay on the not buying books but the review books will be tougher. So far my I'm sticking with my resolutions but I'm taking it one day at a time! Prisoner of Night and Fog looks good and I love that cover! Enjoy your books and have a great week!

    1. I have already failed the no requesting ARCs goal, because I have requested loads in the last couple of days. So, if I get denied the requests it will be a blessing ;-)
Good luck on continuing to stick to your resolution Katherine.
