It's Monday! What I'm Reading

A weekly meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

WHAT I RECENTLY FINISHED READING:

This had such rave reviews that I expected to love it but I didn't. Its not terrible and I did read it in two sittings but it missed something. I think that something was a real connection between the two main characters, apparently they were in love but to me it was simply lust.
If you are a fan of forbidden love stories then you very well may enjoy it.
I really enjoyed this book, it was about more than running for fitness but also about the mental well-being and the belief in yourself than comes from running. It almost made me put my running shoes on and head out the door, almost. If it hadn't been (and continues to be) wet and miserable here, then I more than likely would have, but I HATE the rain and only leave the house when it is raining if I absolutely have to. When the weather gets better, I WILL be starting a running program that I WILL stick to. And if I start to lose motivation I will pick up this book again.

WHAT I AM CURRENTLY READING:

I have only read one novella so far and I already love Celaena and I can't wait to get to the rest of the series.
I am about half way through this and my interest is starting to wane and if the story doesn't pick up soon it might end up being a DNF.
I am just over half way through this and I am loving it. I wish I picked it up in hardcopy, then I would probably be finished already.
WHAT I PLAN TO READ THIS WEEK:

I didn't read any of the books that I planned to last week, but I do still hope to get to them:

After I have finished The Assassin's Blade I am going to read:

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
and
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

What books are you enjoying (or not) right now?
Have you read any of these books? What did you think?

  1. I read the novels by Maas before I read the novellas. They were all still amazing. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. I am only reading the novellas first because I have that book from the library, so I want to get it read and returned soon. I own the novels, so no rush to get to them.
      Have a great reading week.

  2. I really REALLY wish that I read the Throne of Glass Novellas before I read the book....uuugghh! I just finished The Throne of Glass and I'm a bit disappointed :( (I'm posting a review soon, so keep an eye out for that.) Because I really wanted to like Throne of Glass I'm going to give Crown of Midnight a chance, only because I heard it was way better than the first book and b/c I really fell in love with one of the characters for the book named, Chaol. Can't wait to see what you think!!

    1. I am sorry Throne of Glass disappointed you, but I have also heard that Crown of Midnight is better. And Assassin's Blade is great, so you have at least two great books in the series ahead of you. I am looking forward to meeting Chaol.
